How to be a great podcast guest
Were you recently invited to be a
guest on a podcast or radio show?
In theory, it sounds like a pretty sweet gig. Talk about the subject matter you’re already an expert in, and get a ton of free exposure/publicity! The thing is, if you aren’t prepared, the experience could end up doing more harm than good for your career.
A good podcast guest is concise, knowledgeable AND entertaining. It doesn’t matter if the information you’re delivering is excellent, if it’s boring, no one is going to listen. And, if you’re boring, you probably won’t be invited back. But, if you’re a really GREAT guest, producers will hang on to your contact info and call on you again when future opportunities arise. They may even recommend you to other producers (yup, producers talk!!).
That’s why I’m offering a free webinar for professionals who are looking to level up their communication skills.
Here’s what we’ll cover during the 60-minute session:
How to prepare for your interview
How to conduct yourself on the air
How to structure your answers
How to deliver information effectively
How to be entertaining
How to make sure you get invited back
